from 47 reviewsMy son Edrich, and I had one of the best experiences in our life.
Its regulated, informed and executed perfectly.
To Neels and his team- Well done!
Great explanation on the forging process with examples
This is a great design. It the perfect hunting knife in my opinion. I made one of these by following the online class (I think this is the same knife as the class). I donated it to the church for their auction for their kids program and it sold for $500. Thanks for the design and the class.
I really like this design. I made one and it garnered a lot of positive comments even from mastersmiths and JS knife maker that I look up to. I'm looking forward to making a coffin handle dagger now.
This is a fantastic experience ! Hands on and very informative for all processes in knifemaking / forging
What Our Clients Say About Us
I did the knife-making experience at Black Dragon Forge on 12 December 2025, and it was genuinely one of the most enjoyable and memorable experiences I have had in a long time. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming, and professional. The team struck the perfect balance between expert guidance and giving you the space to truly do the work yourself. There was no rushing, no pressure, and no shortcuts — just patient instruction, hands-on learning, and a real appreciation for the craft of bladesmithing. What made the experience exceptional was that you don’t simply “watch” or assemble something — you forge, shape, grind, and finish a knife with your own hands. Walking away with a knife that I personally made, knowing every step that went into it, is incredibly rewarding. It’s not just an object; it’s a story and a memory you keep for life. If you are looking for a unique experience, whether for yourself, with friends, or as a gift, I cannot recommend Black Dragon Forge highly enough. "You will leave with a beautifully crafted knife, a deeper respect for the craft, and memories that will stay with you long after the day is over." I would do it again without hesitation and strongly encourage anyone considering it to book — you will not regret it.
My other half got me the bladesmithing course as a gift. And it was probably the best gift I have ever received. Top notch experience! Would recommend to anyone.
What a great experience. Learn some new skills with experts that are patient and happy to share their knowledge in a light hearted manners. Thank you so much Neels and team!
A wow experience! Great venue! Great course! Well trained and friendly staff. I can highly recommend this to anyone.
